Spiderweb is committed to providing you, our valued customer with the highest standard of customer service possible. We understand that privacy of personal information is a concern for the majority of our customers, and we address this concern seriously.

After the 21st December 2001, new provisions to the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 came into effect. How Spiderweb collects the information:

There are a number of ways that Spiderweb collects personal information, these include:

Direct methods include the completion of an application form, via telephone or fax or via an on-line application. The collection of this information generally relates to the application for services, but can also apply to an application for additional services.
We can also source information from third parties such as related companies, credit-reporting agencies, or from your representatives.
Publicly available information services
Primarily, Spiderweb collects your personal information; however a duly appointed reseller of Spiderweb's services may initially collect your personal information.
CLI (calling line identification) may be used for purposes of fraud prevention.

How Spiderweb uses the information it collects:


Spiderweb may use your personal information in a number of ways; this includes, but is not limited to:

Allowing us to properly identify you.
To provide you with the services that you've requested.
To manage and administer any accounts or services that you may have with Spiderweb. This includes billing for these services and the collection of any debts.
The investigation of complaints in relation to your service.
The investigation and fixing of faults in relation to your service.

Spiderweb does not sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third parties.

As outlined in the aforementioned "How Spiderweb collects the information", Spiderweb may disclose your personal information to specific third parties. When such disclosures are made, the parties to which we disclose your personal information are required to comply with all relevant laws including the Privacy Act 1988.

Outsourced debt-recovery companies.
Outsourced installation or repair service companies.

The security of Personal Information:

Spiderweb takes the security of your personal information seriously and will take all reasonable precautions to ensure that all data collected is accurate and up-to-date, and stored in a secure environment where only authorised persons can access the data.

Spiderweb cannot guarantee the security of any transmission via the Internet and as such can't be held responsible for any unauthorised access of your personal information delivered to you, or received from you via the Internet.

Access to your Personal Information:

By law you have the right to see or obtain a copy of your personal information as held by Spiderweb. Spiderweb will handle any request for personal information in accordance with the National Privacy Principles.

There may be certain circumstances in which Spiderweb may refuse to give you access to your personal information, these circumstances include:

The request for access is frivolous or vexatious.
Existing or anticipated legal dispute resolution proceedings are underway and where discovery would not grant access to the personal information.
Access would prejudice negotiations.
Access would be unlawful.
Denial of access is required or authorised by law.

Correcting and Updating your Personal Information:

Spiderweb takes all reasonable steps to ensure that your personal information is complete, accurate, and up-to-date, in addition to being consistent across the services that you may have with Spiderweb. We require you to keep Spiderweb up-to-date on any changes to your personal information.

To assist us in maintaining accurate personal information, we ask that you:

Inform us of any errors or omissions you find or are aware of such as your name, address, contact details, or any other personal information.
Inform us of any changes to your personal details in the event of a; change of address, change of name, or a change to any other personal details.

Spiderweb reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If changes to the Privacy Policy are made, the changes will be posted on Spiderweb's website so that you are always aware of the sort of information collected, how the information could be used, and under what circumstances it may be disclosed by Spiderweb.
Please note that if at any time Spiderweb is required by law to release information about you or your organization, Spiderweb must cooperate fully.
