SPIDERWEB  Setup Program

For ease of setting up your internet connection, Spiderweb  has a setup program which can be downloaded, saved to floppy and kept for emergencies (ie when reloading windows or reformatting your hard drive)     Click Here to download   .......  Save this file to a floppy disk. (or your desktop if your computer doesn't have a floppy drive)
   
To use the Spiderweb Setup Program:

Place the disk in the floppy drive of your computer …
open ‘my computer’ …
then open ‘floppy drive A’

and/or
Double click on the Spiderweb Setup.exe.

1. When asked ‘Please read the Terms and Conditions’, click "OK"

2. After reading Terms and Conditions, click ‘ACCEPT’.

3. The next dialogue box will ask you to enter your account information.
     > Enter your name - remember is what other people see when your email arrives in their computer. You can use capital letters and spaces, for example: Bill Bloggs or John & Mary or The Jones Family

     > The next line is for your user name
     - type your user name using only lower case.

     > The next line is for your password
     - type your password ... carefully!

     > Click "OK"

4. You will be told to wait while the configuration setup is run automatically.

5. You MAY receive a warning that "Visual Basic Scripting" is running. We recommend that you select the "YES" option to disable this feature.

6. Once the setup in finalised, it is recommended that you restart your computer.

7. To log onto the Internet, open Internet Explorer and a dial up screen will appear.

8. Ensure your user name is correct. The password will only appear as ***** or dots.
NOTE: If you are using Windows XP, there may appear to be more "dots" than there are letters in your password. This is normal and is a security feature of Windows XP.

9. Click "CONNECT"

10. When you have successfully logged and connected to Spiderweb a small icon (resembling 2 computers) will appear in the lower right hand area of your screen, beside the time.
